So now yard work is my responsibility. I know I am not a lawn expert, but I am putting in my best effort. Apparently, my effort does not meet Mark's standards. I can't tell you how many times this week I have heard that we had the nicest lawn in the neighborhood...last year. He might have a point, but I think he sets me up for failure.
I knew I needed to put fertilizer on the lawn. Is it my fault I couldn't find the spreader in the shed? I told Mark that the areas I fertilized look really nice and green. All he could see was the problem. He wasn't impressed with the coffee can method. As a result, he put the spreader in the garage where I can't miss it. He also bought me a gift. I miss the days when my gifts came from the florist. But as Mark pointed out, if I get good at yard work, I can grow my own damn flowers.
